A little more on "Service Disruption"

When I wrote about service disruptions as it relates to light rail, some of you may have tried to picture exactly what I was talking about (then again, maybe not).

I talked about what actually powers the train, which is an electricity collection device called a pantograph Essentially, the pantograph collects electrical current from overhead lines which makes the light rail go, more or less.

Here is a video of a pantograph catching something on the overhead lines and pretty much disintegrating. Rendering the train powerless, constituting a "Service Disruption"

Crazy Light Rail Stories!

I was cruising Youtube and ran across video of a guy who is a student at Sac State, uses the transit system in Sacramento and video blogs about his experiences. I thought it was funny....PRAISE JESUS!
